Where do I see the list of DAO created on Aragon

I wish to have a look on available DAOs in aragon network. Where can I look for that? Thanks and Regards -ShilazTech

Hello, there is a list you can find here: https://daolist.io/

I know it’s still very early days, but I feel like it’d be interesting to see some data about DAOs as well. Out of curiosity, are there any plans to include DAO usage statistics? (example: daily users, total value invested, number of new DAOs being created over time)

@gausman you can track some Aragon statistics on Scout: https://scout.cool/aragon/mainnet/

thank you. I think it would be better if this link is available from main web page of aragon

This site is not being found - is it just down or has it disappeared?

it has been deprecated in favor of https://apiary.1hive.org/orgs

Thanks for that - however is there also a list that provides a summary of what the DAO is for? I would like a central place where I can read about all the DAOs and so be able to easily choose which ones I want to get involved with . .

I’m not aware of any such list. In the future, with Organization Profiles, it may be possible to build something like this without having to manually compile all of the information.

Edit: there is a list of Aragon organizations and a link to more information about them in the wiki, but it’s hardly a comprehensive list: Aragon Legacy Documentation - Aragon User Documentation

Ah . . thanks. Maybe that is something I can work on and add to . . I think it would be really useful for new people to see a more-or-less complete list of DAOs - I’m sure more people would immediately get involved in already existing DAOs they were interested in - if they could find them more easily . .

Sure! Would be great to have your help growing and maintaining this list :slight_smile: contributions welcome and appreciated. There’s a little pencil icon at the top of each wiki page that you can click to start editing it directly on GitHub.

I’ve been thinking about this challenge for a bit and have a few ideas that would be great to get feedback on.

First, some organizations on Aragon are not really DAOs but rather private clubs or even just single member multi-sigs. These organizations may not have a need or desire to provide a public presence or way to onboard users. However, from the perspective of a user wanting to explore the DAO ecosystem they are probably only interested in public organizations or semi-public organizations.

We are starting to explore adding social and community features to Apiary to help improve discovery and participation in these types of organizations.

Of the following features it would be great to understand your sense of the level of impact each of the following features would have @philiprhoades

  • Allow users to tag organizations as public, semi-public, or private. And enable filtering organizations based on that categorization.
  • Allow users to associate a url to an organization (public edit and wiki-style moderation) so that public organizations can more easily expose a website, forum, or telegram channel where people could interact with that organizations members
  • Allow users to create and customize a basic “profile” of an organization. The profile would include things like the url, orgs ens name, stats, and activity feed, along with a short description of the what the organization does and how people can get involved

Additionally if you have any other thoughts on the ideal flow for finding and joining an Aragon organization would love to hear them!

I really like the idea of About app. An aggregator like Apiary may automatically load profile data for organizations that have this app installed.

@lkngtn ,

Ah! this thought occurred to me too but I hesitated to suggest more work for the Apiary devs . .

All those points you suggest are good and would cover my current desires - happy to help with any of that work if I can . .

@xuhcc ,

Looks interesting but plain, extra fields in Apiary would be my first preference . .

Sounds awesome. Are you guys currently working on this?

Oh, that message was a reply to one of your first answers, from a year ago. I was going top to bottom. Everything is fine and working
