A) We ask the user to opt-in to using 3box as an identity provider when we roll out the client upgrade. We tell them that if you opt-in, your user generated labels will be disregarded if that Ethereum address has a 3box setup.

Yeah, I think this makes sense.

• First, render badge based on 3box data
• If 3box data does not exist, render the badge based on custom labels.

Makes sense too. Maybe some users will still want to provide a custom label to override 3box, but I think that is an edge case and we shouldn’t worry about it now.
