DAO Ops is mission-critical. This is a talented team and the value operational efficiency can not be overestimated. But where are the Specific MEASURABLE Achievable Relevant TIMEBOUND deliverables as requested by the ESD for approval of funding

…specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timebound (SMART) objectives will remain key assessment criteria for allocation of ESD funding in Season 1.

Clear milestones and deliverables will allow us to quickly assess and release approved funding on a monthly payment cadence.

It was also made clear in the preceeding proposal that objectives (provided) and metrics (missing) would be a requirement for further funding

I think it’s REALLY important that data is gathered so the project/community can create some precedent to work off of as we move forward. Especially as members come and go who may be leading certain initiatives. Otherwise confusion will ensue as proposals are created, bounties created and completed, etc. i.e. cost, time, skill, requirements, output, success, etc.

Provided this is a conversation at the outset of each bounty, by the end of six weeks the team should have the data requested.

The final objective was to define the metrics that will demonstrate value creation from these activities. As yet, we do not have a final set of metrics or KPIs that adequately describe our success across the various workstreams within DAO Ops. The newly forming “metrics squad” have done a great job of starting to explore this, but for many of the individual bounty contributions we are not yet tracking progress.

Even though anecdotal feedback is positive (more timely payment, increased activity in channels, etc) we do recognise this as a weakness of our work so far. We aim to resolve this through more detailed data in advance of continuing funding requests, as well as well defined KPIs and milestones when requesting this funding.

Beyond operation rhythms and regular meeting cadence the only SMART deliverable here is for a yet to begin Governance role offering over $100 an hour for 15-20 hours of governance work with the deliverable to assess, analyse and report on governance.

I note in pre-season Metrics Review that they report the following KPI

• Did we identify the data and information needs in the DAO effectively?**
• YES. The metrics team has done good analysis on what is needed

I can not locate that analysis and there is nothing here to enable the ESD to assess deliverables beyond funding time spent in meetings and an overpriced or underscoped bounty. Due to Easter, it is now highly unlikely that this proposal will be decided upon at the next ESD meeting scheduled for Monday 18 April UTC 1900 and will most likely roll over to the 3 May.

If someone can DM me an editable document (not notion) I will have a crack at providing some possible SMART deliverables based on the list of activities provided.
