Completely agree and I have been saying this for ~ 9 months now. Due to the lack of communication and strategic direction, most of us in the DAO have been shooting blindly trying to do things we think will support Aragon. I can see how this could have been difficult considering some of the challenges the AA has been facing in the past year or so.
This is absolute top priority for me moving forward in order to lead the community in the best possible way to support Aragon and the DAOs we serve.

I do not endorse a poll (if it is binding) in this situation as it’s been made clear that AA (Head of Core, BD, Comm’s, Product) and AL (Head of Product M) do not believe there is a role here, nor one that requires that level of salary or time. Having someone come in and study what we are doing for 120 hours a month doesn’t seem palatable. Especially when there is budget allocated for “community wellbeing” also. Although I agree in the past there was confusion on direction, there isn’t anymore, which you know and we’ve been transparent about. See @brickpop Head of Core, above. We are laser focused on adding value through building the most incredible and human-centric DAO focused technology in the world. This is our focus.

I am a proponent of this proposal and have been for a while. The community guild is the glue between all other guilds and the community. Without it, other guilds will struggle and the community will have chaos.

The Charter under which all teams to date have been funded very clearly states the purpose of the AN DAO was to grow the active number of DAO on the Aragon network. This was also stated in your S2 proposal.
I’m interested as to when this team decided to pivot from the proposed S2 purpose to the one shared above of “…building a community of contributors…” because tbh it sounds like a recently invented narrative to justify an evident lack of diversity.
Thank you for your message @lee0007 . You are correct in stating that we lost a significant amount of diversity in the resizing. Obviously losing 50% of our team would result in a loss of diversity regardless, but we lost much more in terms of ethnic and cultural diversity. While this was regrettable, once we have a product to support, we hope to regain some of this diversity.
Regarding if I feel the Community Guild is representative of the greater Aragon community we seek to serve, the community is much more diverse for any 4 individuals to fully represent, however, I do believe the downsizing has allowed us to coordinate more efficiently as a team, and we hope this efficiency will allow us better serve the community.
Due to the change in focus from Contributors to Developers and DAO Builders, we have noticed a drop in workload on our core contributors leading to a downsizing of the team from 8 members to 4 members.
As a result, we have managed to decrease spending by $11,135. From $32,535 per month to $21,400 per month.
Contributor payments were reduced by $10,000 per month
Bounty payments were reduced by $1,135 per month
In addition, the entire community guild will be dissolved at the end of January due to the strong overlap with the Communications team within the AA resulting in a further reduction of $21,400 per month to a total of $0 dollars per month.

Due to the strong overlap with the Growth Team within the Aragon DAO and the new Charter being enacted per ANT Holder Vote , the Community Guild will be dissolved effective January 31st. Over the past season we have had to cancel the majority of our objectives or put them on hold due to alignment and overlap issues. As we get closer to launching the new App its more important than ever that Aragon is acting as one cohesive unit. Having external teams acting on behalf of the organization results in a separation of experience, expectations, and knowledge due to the large amount of context that is required.
