In response to this Poll I am trying to help consolidate discussions around the mechanism to provide ANT holders with a non-market exit.
The aim is to box the discussion around the mechanism and its parameters and ultimately arrive at a proposal to be voted on and implemented. We are aiming for mature, strucutred and respectful discourse. If people actually prefer to have the conversation in multiple parallel locations this thread will just sink into oblivion without creating distraction.
Discussions specifically around the treasury size, what can be transferred from the AA to the DAO and “book value per ANT” is structured in a separate topic HERE. If you want to discuss any of these other topics please head there.
Hey Jose, welcome to the community. In the forum we discuss proposals, you will be able to vote with your wrapped ANT once a proposal goes up. More details on how Aragon’s governance works can be found HERE.
The idea of this thread is to shape a proposal around the potential introduction of a non-market exit mechanism. The default of “don’t introduce a mechanism” always exists, the fact a discourse around an alternative exists does not mean the decision to introduce one is made.
I have no aim or claim on driving the discussion I was simply attempting to provide a bit of structure to make it easier for the community to follow and to ensure the same conversation is not had in multiple different threads.
On Friday, June 23, user “Sbv” crossed a serious boundary by publicly posting the zip code of our community moderator within a discussion thread. This action was clearly aimed at intimidating or even threatening an Aragon contributor, and such behavior is plain and simple unacceptable.
In response to this breach, the Aragon Association has taken the necessary step to permanently ban this user. Our decision is based on the violation of “Clause I” of our User Code of Conduct, which applies to all platforms associated with the Aragon Association.
The clause explicitly stipulates that
You shall not use any material that is false, offensive, harmful, obscene or pornographic, hateful, defamatory, libellous, derogatory, abusive, threatening, or in any other way illegal or infringing upon the legal rights of others, or in violation of this clause.
The conduct displayed by “Sbv” is unfortunate and in direct violation of this clause.
We firmly believe in fostering a space that encourages constructive criticism and healthy debate. However, we cannot and will not tolerate actions intended to threaten the safety and well-being of Aragon contributors and community members.
