In response to this Poll I am trying to help consolidate discussions around the treasury size, its transferable portion and the book value per ANT.
The aim is to box the discussion around the treasury size and the steps to arrive at a book value per ANT figure to serve as basis for a potential non-market exit mechanism. We are aiming for mature, structured and respectful discourse. If people actually prefer to have the conversation in multiple parallel locations this thread will just sink into oblivion without creating distraction.
Discussions specifically around the exit mechanisms and their respective parameters can be followed and tracked HERE . To discuss mechanics please head to the respective thread.

UPDATE: This has already achieved its goal, which is to kickstart a public discussion and brainstorming of proposals from ANT holders. Don’t take this proposal as final. I plan to still draft more proposals myself and iterate on this one, and I encourage other ANT holders to do the same.
Disclaimer: This is purely my personal take. I’m not involved in the day to day of Aragon. I’m in the Aragon Association’s committee, and I plan to stay until most of the token sale proceeds have been safely tr…

Author’s Note - For transparency, we are posting our original buyback proposal. This was written prior to the events of this week (approximately 1 month ago). Overall, we really like Luis’s proposal, but think the continuous structure of the buyback proposed here might work better for alignment and potentially cost less than the proposed $30m. We look forward to working with Luis, token holders, and the team to find a solution.
Overview
This proposal outlines a large buyback of ANT to help …

With numerous discussions surrounding Aragon’s assets lately, it’s important for investors and founders to be aware of all of them.
The first asset of Aragon is its treasury in ETH and stablecoins, which cannot be forked.
The second asset is the open-source protocol licensed under AGPL-3.0. It is intentionally designed to be highly forkable—merely a press of a button.
The third asset is the knowledge, skill and experience held by the project contributors. While not forkable, these contributors…

Hello all,
Through this post, I’m hoping to receive clarity around two key pieces of information that remain opaque at the moment and are, in my view, crucial when proposing buybacks, redemption, and the future tokenomics of ANT.
There has been numerous mentions by @luis (happy cake day btw) and @Joan_Arus regarding $40m in current liabilities. Luis and Joan can you breakdown the $40m in liabilities outstanding by line item? Taxes were mentioned as one of the contributors to the total, but i…

Note: This is just intended to ignite discussion, and anything we may vote on would take into consideration every response
Proposal:
Expedite the transfer of treasury from Aragon Association to Aragon DAO to complete within 60 days.
Pledge that the treasury will be used to help realize Aragon Project’s purpose and protect it.
Rationale:
It is our belief that this is what token holders actually want more than anything.
It’s been 319 days since the ANT governance voted for the treasury…

Context
Aragon built a bunch of great code until 2020 that some massive projects are using to this day. The entirety of that team is gone. There is a new team that started getting assembled in late 2021. The new team shipped a great MVP in Feb 2023.
In response to expressed tokenholder desire , the Aragon Association (steward of the treasury consisting of Aragon ICO proceeds) has initiated a process to transfer that treasury to a DAO controlled by token holders. Meanwhile, Aragon’s treasury has…
