All Aragon Devs Updates and Planning #38

As discussed in the last All Aragon Devs call, a new approach will be tested next Monday (December 23rd) and in the coming weeks regarding the format of the call. The main goal will be to move away from the usual team updates and more toward discussion and interactions between participants.

As such, instead of being described during the call itself, updates from the teams will be posted in a forum thread the week before. Additionally, discussion topics can be proposed along with mentions of the teams relevant to those discussions. In order to make the call as engaging as possible, teams are also encouraged to make demos of their work if they have completed a new feature or release.

So we invite teams who would like to share their updates and discussion topics to post them here for the next All Aragon Devs call #38.

Open Work Labs

Update

Starting January 1, 2020, we (Open Work Labs - OWL) are no longer going to be working so closely with Autark. The culmination of the work we have lead will be showcased by the end of the year in a live, experimental version of Open Enterprise.

For AGP-73, Open Work Labs was subcontracted by Autark to work on the IPFS pinning, social (profiles, contextual discussions), and internationalization deliverables. These initiatives are held up for various reasons, and continuously building on them is not an efficient use of capital. Putting these initiatives on ice allows Autark to focus on apps and tools that are more in demand. This also takes some pressure off Aragon One for reviewing these features and making immediate decisions about them (or risk wasting time and money).

Until the new year, we will be in a handoff period - providing in-depth documentation and example integrations for everything we worked on. It should be extremely easy for other members of Autark, Aragon One or anyone else to pick up where we left off. Additionally, OWL can be contracted in the future again if those initiatives become higher priority and we have the bandwidth.

It’s been an amazing learning experience working with this community. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to contribute. Good luck to everyone on their various endeavors and to the entire ANT community!

Discussion topics: (OPTIONAL) - We can talk about the various repos and their states so people can check out our work.
